Sales Representative
We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven individual with experience in sales, marketing, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of chemistry, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. This role requires someone who takes initiative, follows through on responsibilities, and contributes effectively in a collaborative team environment. Key responsibilities include developing new customer relationships, maintaining existing ones, and working cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met.
Job Duties:
- Represent the company and its values in a positive and professional manner while working toward departmental goals.
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with clients by communicating in a personalized, respectful, and courteous manner. Gather all relevant client information and record it accurately in internal systems, including the CRM system in use.
- Identify client requirements and prepare accurate quotations. Promote TLC products and suggest suitable alternatives when appropriate.

Junior Analytical Chemist
Job Summary:
- Perform HPLC, KF, IR, OR TGA etc. comprehensive testing for R&D samples and CoA sample lots.
- Execute method development and method validation for newly synthesized compounds and certified reference materials (CRM), conduct annual performance qualification and preventative maintenance for analytical instruments.
- Assists senior chemists to maintain laboratory operation and ensures that all work is performed in accordance with the applicable SOPs, GLPs, ISO17025 and ISO17034.
Job Duties:
- Operate and maintain instruments such as HPLC, Karl Fischer, Polarimeter, FT-IR, and TGA under supervision. Experiences with NMR and LC/MS are assets.
- Perform instrument annual calibration and preventative maintenance.
- Perform testing requested for re-certifying old lots that are to be out of re-test date.
- Perform testing required for certification of new lots synthesized by synthetic chemists, in order to issue CoAs and release these new lots.
- Perform requested testing for R&D samples in order to help synthetic chemists to identify and quantitate the compounds being made.
- Perform verification/investigation study for compounds to be sent to customers, or for compounds receiving complaints from customers.
- Have peer review for analytical data generated.
- Develop and establish new testing procedures, and validate methods for analysis under the instruction of senior chemists.
- Troubleshoot any instrument issues and analytical issues under the instruction of senior chemists.
- Write or update SOPs if needed.
- Compilation of data to create certificate of analysis as required.
- Communicate effectively both with peers and superiors.
- Keep aware of safety procedures.
- Monitor our inventory of consumables and reagents for the analytical laboratory.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree with a major in analytical and/or organic chemistry.
- 1-2 years of experience as an analytical laboratory chemist is preferred.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is an asset.
- Hands-on experiences and working knowledge of High-Performance Liquid.
- Chromatography (HPLC), Mass Spectroscopy, Karl Fischer (KF), Infrared (IR), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Thermal Gravity Analysis (TGA), Gas Chromatography (GC), elemental analysis (EA), and Optical Rotation (OR).
- Experience and understanding of standard safety procedures for the laboratory.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, time management, and presentation skills.
- Able to interact efficiently and respectfully with group members.
- Proven ability to work independently with strong problem solving, organisation skills.

Synthetic Organic Chemist
We are currently looking for Synthetic Chemists who will be able to perform complex and diverse organic synthesis, purifications, and characterization under the supervision of a senior chemist.
Job Duties:
- Perform synthesis, purification, and characterization of compounds on milligram to gram scale.
- Help design synthetic routes for novel chemical entities.
- Interpret analytical data and suggest additional tests to ensure product purity and identity.
- Carry out complex research and development projects; Troubleshoot and optimize reaction sequences.
- Carefully document laboratory experiments and prepare scientific reports for clients and/or publication in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintenance of laboratory equipment, performing assigned duties regularly for smooth functioning of lab, evaluating and recommending equipment where necessary.
- Prepare daily weekly updates and slides for presentation at project meetings.
- Serve as an area expert for a project or compound class and mentor new chemists.
- Maintain a clean fume hood and bench area to ensure safer operations and preserve the quality of synthesized compounds.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- PhD, MSc or BSc in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, applied chemistry, or related field.
- Strong interest in synthetic organic chemistry with a hard-working mindset.
- Understands the physical and chemical properties of different reactions, raw materials, intermediates, and reagents, with the ability to select appropriate reaction conditions by referring to literature.
- High proficiency with thin layer chromatography, column chromatography, recrystallization, and other purification methods.
- Strong knowledge of organic chemical reactions, mechanisms.
- Ability to perform NMR and Mass spectrum analysis will be a strong asset.
- Work on a number of different projects of varying lengths and complexity.
- Keeps a complete and accurate record of all observations, measurements, techniques, procedures, and conclusions in the laboratory notebook.
- Good communication and learning skills.
- Strong teamwork ability with a sense of responsibility.
